47 days and counting. Yep, that's right. We'll be able to hold, caress, and change our little Arielle's diapers in another 47 days or so. Of course due dates are so unpredictable. Isaiah came 10 days early, so we'll see. I know one of my brides in particular, Cathi, who has grown to be a good friend of mine since meeting at our first appointment, is hoping and praying that little Arielle doesn't come early as her wedding is on October 12.

Well, I've pretty much got everything prepared for today's wedding. Amber and Joe are such a sweet couple. I enjoyed going to their rehearsal last night. I haven't done a wedding at Sunset Gardens in a very long time, and was quite pleasantly surprised at how much has changed since I had last been there. It has grown into a very nice venue.

I had a wonderful time at Carly & Ivan's Fantasy Wedding Photography Photo Shoot on Thursday. I put up a new gallery with a few photos featured from the session, so feel free to take a peek. Carly found me on the internet and said that she really loved my style and booked me right over the phone. She had told me that she and her fiancé were performers and travelled all across the U.S. doing shows, but it wasn't until I met them on their wedding day that I found out that they were circus performers, more specifically trapeze artists. After shooting their totally amazing wedding, I asked them if they'd be interested in doing a Fantasy shoot, also known as a Trash the Dress Shoot at the Neon Boneyard. They mutually liked the idea and agreed. I'm so glad they did. I think we were really able to get some fun shots that expressed their style, personality and talent. It was a real pleasure hanging out with you guys!

Give Me Your Eyes!

I am so super excited right now! I sent an e-mail to Christian recording artist Brandon Heath, asking for permission to play his song "Give Me Your Eyes" on our website, and bright and early this morning I had the following message from him in my inbox:
>Suzi, Id be honored to have my music played on your site. Thanks for asking first! Brandon

The song is playing now in our jukebox! Thanks so much Brandon! You're awesome! :)

What a Day!

I must say - I'm feeling pretty good right now. My second breakfast of the day was particularly delicious this morning. Being 7 months pregnant with cravings can be difficult at times. I made an omlette with toast. Doesn't sound like much... but it sure hit the spot. I only hope Arielle (what we've decided to name our newest little one) enjoyed it just as much as I did.
Well, we've been putting in a lot of time working on our new website and have gotten a ton of nice compliments. We would love to hear your thoughts as well! Just send us a comment or leave a comment for us on this post! We were able to get music to play on our site, too! Had a few little bugs to work out, which took me more than half the day, but it was well worth it. Found some nice royalty-free music at TripleScoopMusic.com.
As you can tell, the cinematography portion of our site is still in chaos, but we should have all the kinks worked out by early next week. Hopefully. :)
Looking forward to tomorrow's wedding. Our lovely bride and groom just flew in from London, so we'll be meeting them for the first time tomorrow! I'll be sure to post some pics so check back soon!

New website is up and running!!!

Welcome, welcome! With our spiffy new website up, we had to make some adjustments to our blog, so all of our past blogs have been deleted. I'll be making up for that in the near future. :)

My husband, Terrence, and I are soooooo excited to have this new website and hope with the entirety of our hearts that we are able to generate a sincere interest and appreciation for all of the hard work we do!

Our goal is to make our clients feel like they’re part of the family. We want you to experience a connection and feel like you just “click” with us. It is our belief that you don’t have to truly know someone to photograph them well, but when you do understand one another and feel comfortable, you are best able to just let yourself go -- just be you. This is exactly what we aim to capture –- you, the real, genuine you.

I’m really going to try to give regular posts and updates about all sorts of cool stuff going on in our business… and give you guys a little taste of a bit of our family life! So, please visit our site’s blog often to check out photo and video posts in addition to our updates. Also, we would absolutely LOVE your feedback on the new site, as well!
